Ingredients

  • Mangoes — 2
  • Water — as required

  • Roasted jeera powder — as required

Method

1. Prepare the Mangoes

Peel the mangoes, remove the seeds and roughly chop the flesh.

2. Blend

Add the mango pieces to a blender with a little water and blend until smooth.

If the mixture is too thick, add a little more water as needed.

Add the sweetener, black salt, chaat masala and roasted jeera powder.

Blend again until everything is well combined.

3. Fill the Moulds

Pour the mango mixture into popsicle moulds and cover them.

4. Freeze

Place the moulds in the freezer for at least 5–6 hours, or until completely set.

5. Serve

Unmould the popsicles and serve chilled.

Tip

Use ripe mangoes for the best flavour and add only as much water as needed to blend smoothly.

Taste the mango mixture before freezing and adjust the sweetener, black salt and spices according to your preference.

Ipshita’s Note

I love the combination of sweet mango with a little khatta-meetha, chatpata flavour. The black salt, chaat masala and roasted jeera turn a simple mango popsicle into something much more interesting and refreshing.
