Ingredients

  • Orange β€” 200 g
  • Tea β€” 1 teaspoon
  • Water β€” 350 ml
  • Sweetener β€” as required
  • Ginger, julienned β€” as required
  • Red chilli, chopped β€” as required
  • Ice cubes β€” as required

Method

1. Make the Black Tea

Using 100 ml of the water, prepare the black tea with 1 teaspoon of tea. Allow it to cool completely.

2. Prepare & Assemble

Meanwhile, squeeze the juice from the orange.

Pour the cooled black tea into a glass. Add the sweetener and stir well.

Add some ice cubes and allow it to chill for a little while.

Now add the ginger julienne, chopped red chilli and fresh orange juice.

Add the remaining water and top with more ice cubes.

Stir gently and serve chilled.

I got the inspiration for this drink from a restaurant and created my own version at home. It’s refreshing, light, a little sweet and has that perfect spicy twist!

Tip

Adjust the sweetener and chilli according to your taste. Start with a little chilli and add more if you want a stronger kick.
